Tyutryumov - Russia's strongest junior player
Player of the Table Tennis Club UMMC Alexander Tyutryumov won the gold medal of the Russian Under 22 Championship, which ended in Arkhangelsk.
In Singles Alexander reached the final without any apparent difficulty, where he met with the silver medalist of the latest UMMC Cup Danila Travin from Kazan. During this match Tyutryumov showed a high level of play, allowing the opponent to win only one game - 4: 1.
Also a few days earlier, Alexander Tyutryumov in the company of his team-mates Maxim Kiselev and Ilya Isakov won silver awards at team competitions of the Russian championship.
- I am very happy to win, I think this is the result of enhanced training. Here in Arkhangelsk, each match in the main draw was very tight, all the rivals were about the same level and all with one desire - to win. The mindset and tactics helped me to win: before each game, the coach and I worked through all possible options, and it worked, the tournament winner said.
In Mixed Doubles Tyutryumov together with Elena Romanchenko took the second place. Maxim Kiselev with Danila Travin won Silver in Doubles, Ilya Isakov and Pavel Linev were the third.
- I am very happy for Sasha Tyutryumov, - the UMMC coach Andrei Kulkov commented on the performance of the players, - persistent trainings did their job. We expected medals from Maxim Kiselev but somehow this tournament went wrong for him: he lost to Moscowite, winning 3: 0 in the beginning of the match. In team competitions, of course, we wanted gold medals, but in the final in the tight struggle we lost to tennis players from the Orenburg region. However, despite these misfires and the fact that the Sverdlovsk region was represented at the Russian championship only by juniors, we ranked third among the regions in the team all-around medal count.
